Halifax “Explosion” exhibit redesign

In 2020, I was honoured to work with the folks at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on the redesign of their Halifax “Explosion in the Narrows” permanent exhibit. The new exhibit shows our diversity though individual stories of generosity and determination. This stories included the heroic efforts of Trinidad-born Dr. Clement Courtenay Ligoure who treated up to 180 cases daily at his private hospital and Eric Davidson who, despite losing his sight in the explosion, trained to become a successful motor mechanic.

Remembering the Halifax Explosion and how people supported each other seems very relevant and inspiring during these challenging times.
